Omoni Oboli is a multilingual actor, scriptwriter, movie producer, director and award-winning Nigerian actress. She is also a trained digital filmmaker, author, and owner of a House of Tara Franchise.

Omoni Oboli was born on the 22nd of April 1978, in Benin City, Edo State as the second and last child of her parents. The versatile actress is of the Mosogar descent of Delta State. She attended the Delta Steel Company Primary School and the Delta Steel Company Technical High School for her secondary education.

While in primary and secondary school, Omoni was head of the literary and debating society, as well as the drama club. She wrote, acted in, directed and produced her school plays.

After her secondary education, Omoni went on to the University of Benin, where she studied Foreign Languages, majoring in French, graduating with a second class upper.

Also, she attended the New York Film Academy, where she studied a course in digital film-making.

Omoni Oboli is married to Nnamdi Oboli, and they are blessed with three boys.

Omoni Oboli Career

From childhood, Omoni Oboli always knew she wanted to be an actress, so she delved into the movie industry upon graduation from secondary school.

She began her movie career in the year 1996, with the movie – Bitter Encounter. Her pro acting skills paved the way for her in the industry, so she enjoyed more and more lead roles before she left the industry to focus on her university education.

Upon graduation, she got married, and took a break from the industry until 2006. On return, she continued to do exploits and produced her first movie in 2007.

Omoni Oboli is an ambitious woman who works hard to achieve whatever she sets her mind to. In 2014, she released her debut movie as a director.

Omoni is a personality to reckon with in the Nollywood industry. She is also an author. She wrote the book, The Stars Are Ageless.
