The Shuttleworth Foundation Fellowship offers solutions to individuals to carry out their innovative idea for social change. The Foundation is interested in exceptional ideas at the crossroads between technology, knowledge, and learning, with openness being the key criterion.
Additionally, the Shuttleworth Foundation is a micro-social investor that funds creative leaders at the forefront of technology and social change. It seeks social innovators who positively influence the world and might profit from a unique social investing strategy.
Moreover, the Foundation is an open philanthropy experiment that uses alternative financing techniques and collaborative working styles to ensure that every member has the assistance they need to succeed.
Subsequently, the Foundation is committed to opening knowledge resources, including software, designs, project reports, manuals, research results and other intellectual creations. Knowledge resources are open for revision, translation, improvement, and sharing under open licenses, open standards, and open formats, free of technical protection measures. To do this, all knowledge resources must have clear ownership.
