About WenA Entrepreneurship Program

Women Enterprise Alliance (WenA) is a registered non-governmental organisation whose mission is to produce world-class and diverse entrepreneurs that meet the needs of an ever-changing marketplace in Nigeria and across Africa.

Basically, WenA extends its mission to a thematically focused program in Agriculture and Technology with an emphasis on technological innovation. The program targets sustainable ventures within the agric-tech space in Nigeria.

This year, WenA program will support 25 Entrepreneurs from across Nigeria to receive capacity building, mentorship, and access to finance. It will be a 4-month intensive program holding from January to May 2021. During this time, successful applicants will receive lessons on business management and innovation in the agric-tech space, network with like-minded entrepreneurs and mentors, and learn the practical skills required to create and run successful and sustainable businesses.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, your venture needs to be in line with WenA social impact policy based on the UN SDGs goals.

Also, as an entrepreneur, you must have worked on your venture for a minimum of 3 years and possess a working knowledge of English.

You must be 21yrs and above by December 2020.

WenA Entrepreneurship Program 2020/2021 Benefits

If your application is successful, you will;

  1. Collaborate with top-tier investors to innovate venture.
  2. Gain visibility and traction in new markets.
  3. Gain exposure to potential investors
  4. Network with leading experts in agri-tech and entrepreneurship

Timeline

  1. Applications opened: December 4, 2020
  2. Applications close: December 21, 2020
  3. The program starts: January 21, 2021
  4. The program ends: May 31, 2021

When you apply, WenA will conduct in-house due diligence to assess your venture’s compliance. This will be through a thorough application process requiring official documentation, referrals, interviews, and performance data.
